Hubs and I both have the Vid. I’m actually immune compromised and have been taking hydroxychloroquine for a few years now. I take it regularly with Quercetin. The husband caught the Covid and was very sick very fast the first day. I gave him: 400mg of HCQ and 1200mg of Quercetin. He also took lots of vitamin C, Sambucol elderberry tabs, zinc and lots of fluids. He felt exponentially better within about 8 hours of the first dose. The next dose was all but the HCQ as per the AFFLD protocol. Within 24 hours he was nearly normal with just some sniffles and a light cough. By day 3 he is almost completely 100% doesn’t sound or look sick. He will continue to take 200mg of HCQ a week for about 2-3 more weeks.
For myself I was doing fine being around him and not getting sick for several days until I forgot to take one of my normal daily doses of HCQ and Quercetin. I was sick within 8 hours. As soon as I realized I double dosed my meds (400mg HCQ and 2400mg Quercetin) as well as added Vit D 5,000iu and an iron supplement because my body destroys red blood cells at a faster rate thanks to a rare autoimmune disorder I have.
Because of the autoimmune disorder I cannot take Vit C, elderberry, echinacea, or any of the immune boosters so I’ve compensated with maximum doses of Quercetin and NSAIDs to suppress my inflammatory response. It’s working quite well and I’m pleased. I’ve had colds that have required weeks of steroids for me to recover from but this is nothing in comparison.
Tl;dr The protocols work, even for immune compromised individuals. Catch it fast, treat it aggressively, and go about your life.
This is really good news. Thanks so much for sharing your experience with HCQ, etc. So glad to hear it made you both get well fast!
Thanks! I don’t really care about Covid, but I know lots of folks are looking for information when they get it on what to take and how much and this was just our experience fwiw
Thanks for sharing!! So glad you and your husband are both doing well!!!
Nice job
I’m a doc
Try adding famotidine 40mg 2x Benadryl at night 25mg Salicylic Acid (aspirin) 650mg NAcetyl Cysteine (NAC) 600mg
Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice has natural enzyme inhibitors, thus boosting these treatments effectiveness
Thanks! I’ll add that stuff in.
Isn’t Grapefruit contraindicated to take with HCQ though? From what I read it messes with the efficacy.
Gunna go Amazon the NAC…
Nah
You have done a great job of understanding your own body and what it needs and how to give it what it needs. If we had 300 million more Americans like you, there would be very little sickeness!!
I got it and just took a few naps
Hooray! So happy to hear you and your Husband are well! Thanks to your proactive stance and aggressive treatment you will survive and thrive! Wish everyone had your smarts!
I thought NSAIDs were bad for COVID though? And that Tylenol or aspirin was better? Thanks for sharing!
You’re probably right, but in my case the NSAIDs aren’t really for the Covid but for preempting the inflammatory response with my autoimmune disorder. I’m kind of having to do double duty. my immune system goes into overdrive trying to fight off the cold. As a result it pretty much just tries to kill everything in my body like a giant nuclear option. If I can keep the inflammation down I (hopefully) won’t have to resort to steroids once everything else goes haywire.
Tylenol is a pain reliever but not anti inflammatory so it won’t do squat Aspirin isn’t as effective for me personally.
Thanks for posting this, fren.
