In the mid-90s, when the internet was just becoming available, I was at the University computer lab exploring this new internet thing. One of the first sites I came across was the HAARP site - it clearly stated the goals, which included:

• X-Raying the Earth to locate oil and other mineral deposits
• Communicating with Submarines under the ocean at depth
• Manipulating the Weather and 'Steering' weather by creating high pressure areas
• Directed energy weapon applications, i.e. the targeted shutdown / destruction of a city or State's power system.

I remember distinctly, being so 'wowed' by this statement, that I PRINTED out the website on the lab printer - I still have it around here somewhere in a box. If I ever find it, I'll take some pics and post again.
