Let's say that Omicron spreading wildly is actually giving herd immunity. How is the economy to determine this and when will things get back to normal? Hospitalizations are going to be a lagging indicator. The actual annual deaths around the country (and the world, btw) is steady year over year (0.76 die for every 1.0 birth, IIRC). When do businesses and the rest move on and drop all of this testing/masking nonsense?
