I disagree with one point in the article: "It’s important for Supreme Court justices to make rulings based on correct data."

NOPE, not by a longshot. It is important for the Supreme Court to make rulings BASED ON THE CONSTITUTION! All the data in the world can become meaningless if a mandate, ruling, or law is unconstitutional. It's the very prime purpose of the Supreme Court. If they are looking at data, then they are straying from their primary purpose.
