I'm trying to be a better Christian and have been thinking a lot about Jesus' exhorting "praying for your enemies."
Now normally thats tough enough and ive been doing it, but our enemies now are quite literally satanists and possibly demon-possessed. I come away feeling dumb praying for Fauci and the like who would just as soon kill my sons and I as look at us, provided the former option increases their ROI or their prestige. Likewise Gates, Schwab, the whole litany of evil people playing God right now with no repercussions.
Any advice? Like i said its hard and im doing it but some backup or hearing from others might help.
I think it's wonderful that you feel led to pray for your enemies, our enemies! It's a great calling! What I feel led to tell you is this, God knows what or who is on your heart because you are His. Maybe framing it that God loves ALL of His children and He would love nothing more than every last one of us to be saved. We know Jesus is our Lord and Savior - our only way to salvation or to gain favor with God. The Holy Spirit is how He communicates with us and us with Him.
Someone once told me that Jesus is a "gentle man". He does not force Himself on anyone. He will knock and wait patiently... He will drop notes in your/our spirit from time to time... it's up to each of us to answer. Praying that anyone who does not know Jesus can come to know Him as you do is a good place to start. If Fauci, Gates, and Schwab are on your heart, God knows this so add these people to "the prayer list of your heart" and you can pray for them along with any additions that God shows you in the coming days, weeks, and months to your ever expanding "prayer list of your heart". This frees you up to speak to your Lord in a natural flow by saying just one phrase. No more struggling to remember names upon names.
That's what I do. It helps me know that I'll never forget someone. Today you may feel led to pray for enemies, tomorrow you may feel led to pray for friends, the prayer list of your/my heart helps to again make sure nobody is forgotten. I certainly pray for people by name but I include always those on my list.
Be blessed fren!! I hope this helps if it feels right for you!
