Quite frankly what you’re suggesting could perhaps be more in line with my actual philosophy/theosophy.

I have several prints of the Bhagavad Gita; my go to is by R.C. Zaehner, which appears to be a more obscure and academic source, but I like it because the language seems fairly authentic as a translation.

Are you familiar with that version?
