It’s a reborn doll. That is what they are called. It is a niche market and can be $1,000 for a single doll especially if it is a well known artist. Sometimes they are used in movies and theatre, treatment for women who lost babies or cannot have children, or sometimes for calming Alzheimer’s women to calm them down by holding a « real baby. » Some people collect them because of their realistic look and feel. This particular doll appears on many sites but it sure looks freakish.
