No, he didn't. My grandpa did 😁

Although interesting family tidbit: I don't think he was holding my grandmother's picture because he hadn't met her yet. He may have been holding a picture of his illegitimate child, that we don't know about.

His World War II registration card shows single with dependent but as far as we know he didn't have children yet. I keep hoping it is a transcript error but if not my father has a sibling out there he does not know about.

Well that would surely be interesting. I'm certain this illegitimate child would be here in the US because these were his enlistment papers but heck, anything is possible 😄 Did your grandfather ever try to find any children?
