I tell them that I will wear one (out of respect) if they have a mental illness.

Your comment made my day. I might use it sometime for an aggressive mask wearer, lol. Mostly I just feel sad folks wearing masks as they have been apologetic and scared rather than aggressive or rude. The tide is turning re public opinion.
