Here's some advice from an older person. College costs a lot and usually takes many years to pay for. If you major in the wrong subject, you can't find a job.

If you go to community college or apprentice with someone to learn a trade, you are almost guaranteed to get a job. And you don't have a decade or more of loan payments.

On top of that, a job in the trades sometimes pays as much as or even more than a professional job and is a whole lot less stressful.
