Im watching Dexter and the guy who plays Mike in Breaking Bad is an fbi official. The Captain in the show, big Nordic head, looks like an SS officer.
So i got to thinking about how tv has a cop "look" and a greaseball criminal look and how HBO so clearly uses CS Coon racial typing.
So that would probably create a feedback loop; kids w that look who consume thousands of hours of media must be affected in how they see themselves.
Anyway who does the type casting? Studio technicians? Are there consulting firms?
I don’t know but every commercial is now a bi-racial couple or black. I actually saw a commercial last night with Asian woman with black man....now there’s something you see everyday!
Have you noticed all white people in commercials now are always in the wrong / acting stupid / doing something stupid / playing the role of the ignorant?
Ive seen like 9 commercials since 2008, no.
I remember in the early Bush era, between 9/11 and TARP that Apple and McDonald's both used on prominent ads a skinny mixed guy w an afro. I named him Manny
It wasnt a single actor, it was like a type. I urged all my mixed friends to go into modeling and advertising.
Most commercials are Big Pharma commercials. I never paid attention until this past year. And they are enjoying destroying the White male in commercials. It’s funny to watch. They actually had a white male crocheting on an Etsy commercial the other day.
But what think tank or body even knows racial typing to make those decisions? Hollywood fatcats didn't read The Races of Europe
So you think it isnt social engineers but rather God himself who says that ss officer candidates "Look like cops?"
Well since you cant study people's behavior apart from their memes "correlation" is worthless and insignificant. It's likelier a testament to the might of the meme and its power over identity and behavior.
To anyone who's still here in good faith please note the active narrative slide alive in my thread; im talking about how cops are socially engineered by racial selection processes and they try and make it another consoom thread.
In the original Lost in Space, Judy was an attractive blonde. In the remake, maybe 2018?, she was black. I stopped watching at that point, barely into the episode, ran to the computer, and never started watching again.
In the original Perry Mason series, Della Street was warm and wholesome. In the remake, she was a lesbian.
