Do you think Pres. Kennedy suspected something was up when he arrived in Dallas? I'm wondering, is it, or was it, for security reasons, always a closed sedan, unmarked, for the President while in the motorcade? Do you think he suspected something was up when he arrived in Dallas to find a convertible waiting for him? SS usually surrounds the car when driving slow, but not today. Do you think he knew? Especially after his speach regarding secret societies?

They had just uncovered a plot to assassinate him in one of the previous locations he visited. I think JFK was keenly aware that there were plots against him. At that time he probably did not have much choice but take the risks and hope the people entrusted with his security were not going to let him down.
I think it was a double in the car that day.
Hmmm, hadn't thought of that.
Very few people have ever seen this where the Secret Service Detail was called off guarding the limo. It happened at the turn into Dealy Plaza
