Spent most of my day taking my husband to the Dr. and then to the hospital. He's been having symptoms of what I had a few weeks ago, but his main complaint has been nausea. I got an appt today for him and it was a "curb side" exam. They did a covid and flu swab on him, and will "let us know". His oxygen level was at 90, so they sent us to the hospital for him to receive oxygen. He didn't want to go, but felt bad enough and decided to go. We spent 5 hours in the ER. They did an EKG, covid test, cat scan, check xray, and gave him a drip for dehydration and nausea. Finally things came back....he has **" pneumonia due to covid". ** The doctor offered him a monocolodial (?) treatment, but said he didn't believe it would be that helpful because my husband was already about 7 days into the "virus" and it should run its course in about 10 days or so. I did have to laugh, bc the young doc said "now IF you were paranoid about the virus....I'd go ahead and have the treatment...but since you didn't get the vax, I'm assuming you aren't paranoid about it....right?" LOL He also told us that our age group (early 70's) that our recovery rate is very good. He was given a prescription to take for the pneumonia and told to rest and drink plenty of fluids.
