I don’t even use twitter, but Just a minute ago, I received an emgc alert alarm on my phone from Missouri State Highway Patrol (via twitter) but it was blank with no msg.

You mean you got a message on your phone saying it was from twitter?

It said emergency alert system then when I clucked on it for more info, it went to a twitter post from Missouri State Patrol

Be careful, there is a lot of SMS text message spam bots now. Don't click links to sms messages unless its from someone you know.
