I'm working on a large scale Hollywood movie coming out within the next couple years. We are still working from home using a collaborative app called Slack. I don't talk politics at work, obviously a slack channel is a bad place to put your opinions out there since so many people in the company could see it.
Anyway a black co-worker randomly messages our entire department "anyone else regret voting for Joe Biden?" They deleted it within 20 minutes after no one replied, but it's crazy to me that someone who I assume is liberal felt confident enough to put that out there. Obviously slack isn't the right place for that discussion, but it tells me people are waking up to the Biden disaster.
Why is Slack not the right place for that discussion? When January 6 happened, people were posting in Slack about what a disgrace it was. I wasn't going to let that go unchallenged without calling them out about them never saying shit about Antifa. We cannot be silent.
Because I enjoy keeping my job. It's had decent pay, with decent benefits, and they haven't had any unreasonable covid related demands since we are still working from home. Hard to find that these days.
