If people want to serve in government, they need to be far away from cosmopolitan coastal cities and in the middle of our country's plains. They need to be detached from the elites of the world and focused on service. My suggestion is: between Kearney and North Platte, NE. Right dead center of the country, also a great defensive position. What's yours?

There is a sign near hutchinson kansas that is the middle point between coasts. One of the early mercury astronauts wanted a space exhibit to be accesible to everyone in the US so he donated a lot of gear and got corporate entities such as Dillon's which is based in hutchinson to create the Cosmosphere in hutchinson.
Ive been to the LBJ space center many times as well as the air and space Smithsonian in DC. They pale in comparison to the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, KS.
When Gus Grissom's Liberty Bell was recovered from the ocean, where did they send it for forensic analysis?
The Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, KS. They concluded that the explosive bolts on the hatch did malfunctuon and Gus was telling truth.
If you want to see a real space exhibit that is amazing, visit that small town. Also on way into town you will pass through a town called Yoder. There is a bakery there run by amish that has the best cinnamon rolls. Aldo their is a diner called country crossing run by mennonites that is the best home cooked meal ever.
Trust the Captain...the food in this area is absolutely amazing!!
