My view is this is one area that Trump is very weak on. How can you fault a nation for trying to heat the homes of its citizens in winter and stop people freezing to death? If the russians are the only ones able to sell, and the EU idiots are busy shutting down power plants like the compromised traitors they are, the pipeline is a bit of common sense in a region of the world seriously lacking it.
Should they be buying energy from the middle east? If funding russia with these purchases is so bad, funding anything in the ME is far worse.
Tanks waiting around, troops waiting around or whatever the hell the nato dollars are going toward doesn't mean that people have to freeze, thats retarded. Plenty of stories in the last couple days here and elsewhere that 'germany has only X days of gas left', to me it looks like a deliberate fail to achieve chaos, with full press complicity. If the press are on your side, maybe you need to reevaluate your position.
They were doing pretty good with energy until they shut down all their nuclear power. They don't have to go on a hungry search for energy, they can produce it themselves and choose not to.
It has as much common sense as the US shutting down its manufacturing plants to become dependent on China for durable goods... There's a short term benefit with a much worse long term cost. And if Germany invested their taxpayer's money in the US economy, they would rightly complain that the US squandered the investment and gave it away.

They are like california....too pristine to build dams and use more available sources.
