I think another big name site with the goal of spreading truth is a great idea and I'm excited for it.
With censorship not being on the table for the left on this site, it's pretty easy to guess what will happen- Paid posters and useful idiots will flood the board with posts to make our movement look bad, i.e. extreme racism non stop, calls for violence, etc. How do you think this will be countered? I'm thinking that it's possible the money for troll farms has started to dry up, so maybe it won't be as bad as I think.
We will have facts and logic on our side. Why do you think Twitter has to ban everyone whos logical and factual? Because they know that the truth wins when its not censored. If Twitter didnt censor all the truth it would be on the top, and so on truth social the truth will be at the top, there will be no need to censor lies.
This is how society used to work, we didnt need regulations or licenses because if someone was terrible everyone knew and didnt give them any buisness, and socially shamed them. That system was replaced by the Government deciding, just like Twitter executives decide what goes on Twitter.
That's a really good point. I do still think there will be bot armies in the beginning as an attempt to leave a bad taste for people newly exposed to the movement. They want to keep people from going back to Truth social so they will likely try to initially flood it with garbage, but I suppose that's probably the extent of limited damage they can do.
You think Truth social isnt gonna have some system to stop bots? Twitter and Reddit pay for bots to be on their site and spread lies and misinformation, because there isnt enough people doing it. Its really not hard to get rid of them if you want a website thats bot free.
Hopefully they're learning from Gab and WINs on how to deal with them.
I mean, if it is a legit person "debating" a topic as what they think is "wrong" that is fine but, bots mass spamming fake news, is not. The masses of people will have to weed and put foot down when and where needed in some cases.
It will be up to everyone, as it should be. We're being trained to take ownership, and it's working.
