Any pharmacy that denies a valid prescription for any reason (outside of outright fraud) should be charged with practicing medicine without a license and shut down immediately.

I just tried to fill an Ivermectin prescription at my local Walmart and was told it was corporate policy to not fill any Ivermectin prescriptions for covid because it wasn't approved for covid. I replied that doctors prescribe off label all the time and this is atrocious and Walmart is contributing to needless deaths! Of couse she was just doing her job!
That excuse is total bullshit pharmacist fill things off label all the time. If it’s a common off label use they don’t even call the doctor. If it’s something new that they haven’t seen before they may call the doctor and get a copy of the article or medical journal that justifies its use. You or the doctor could’ve provided an article justifying the use and if they still refuse to fill you have a lawsuit.
Thank you. CVS and the local mom and pop pharmacy had told me they don't stock Ivermectin anymore. I've been getting it from a compounding pharmacy and paying full price because they don't file insurance. That's why I tried Walmart today.
