Correct. The Roman Catholic church is closing and "merging," churches throughout the US.

I live in one of the most RCC dominant areas of the US. The diocese is closing/merging churches constantly. They're facing insolvency over sexual abuse lawsuits.

Catholics wouldn't have to change much to be welcomed back to the Orthodox Church. The "Pope" is a made up position. Peter was never anything more than a Bishop from Rome.
