This is super personal and not the place for this but I honestly have no idea where to go for help here. My husband and I are both sick. He tested positive for covid because his company required him to take a test.
Here's my dilemma:
- I just finished an antibiotic for an infected tooth and need to get a root canal but rescheduled because my husband was sick and didn't want to risk making anybody else sick.
- We were both taking quercetin, c, d3 and zinc so how in the hell did we get this unless it is true that there is no cure for the common cold or flu? So now, out of an abundance of caution we are taking the India pack of ivermectin, zinc & doxycycline.
- In addition I am also being treated with ciproflaxacin for a kidney infection and the online docs who are treating me are suggesting that if I'm still having issues that I seek medical care for IV antibiotics as this could turn into c-diff. The idea of going near a hospital literally has me reaching for xanax especially if I have the kung-flu on top of everything else.
- I take a pretty strong probiotic regularly so I'm not too worried about the antibiotics.
Symptoms of kidney infection are easing so my gut is saying to ride it out a little while longer.
Does anybody know of any type of home health care that I can get near the Pittsburgh, PA area for testing and IV antibiotics or should I ride this out and pray for the best?
I’m confused on the C-diff thing as well. That would assume that the kidney infection, that’s currently being treated with antibiotics, after coming off a different cycle of antibiotics, will spread to the colon. It’s oddly specific so I’m unsure as to how your doctor is making that connection. If anything kidney infections would cause septicemia before anything, but it’s unlikely if you’re taking the antibiotics to help fight it.
My advice is that if you’re not having any symptoms, and it sounds like your husband isn’t since he only found out he had it because he had to get tested for work, just take a watch and wait approach. If your symptoms change or get worse seek medical care.
Also, if your kidney infection symptoms are starting to clear up it’s doubtful that it will spread anywhere, much less your colon. Wait to see what happens and if you are concerned seek treatment, but in any case make sure to finish the course of antibiotics even though you feel better
I was taking D3 (10,000 iu), magnesium (300mg), zinc (30mg), K2 (200µg) and C (1g) daily when I got covid symptoms in Jan 2020. I still got the fever, myalgia, cough, headache and loss of taste but no lung problems and it lasted less than a week. I didn't have quercetin available at the time.
Anyway, while I believe that this concoction helps to beat it off, it doesn't prevent you from catching it.
By the way, if you take zinc for any length of time (months) then you should also have cocoa each day to replace the copper that you'll lose.
I've had root canals with no obvious problems.
What you say makes sense. I cannot take cocoa as I'm allergic to it.
We take d3 5000iu, magnesium 500mg, zinc 50mg, C 2000mg and quercetin.
I'm wondering if I should reschedule yet again...grrr so frustrating and we're horrible patients!
