Aurora mayor Richard Irvin (Democrat) is suddenly running for the Republican primary to be Governor against sitting Governor Prickster. Do not forget that this diversity hire mayor repeatedly followed Lori Lightfoot on nearly everything in 2020 in regards to china virus shutdowns and we even had a mini BLM riot in 2020 that resulted in downtown Aurora being smashed up and cop cars getting torched. Now suddenly he claims to be against defend the police and saying that "all lives matter". It's also rumored that he might get backing from, guess who, Ken Griffin the CEO of Citadel (the grand nemesis of the GME investory crowd.)
Don't take my word for it, look into my claims yourself. Unfortunately I don't have a big compendium on hand of articles and I'm going mostly by my memory of living here but last week I got WinRed spam from him (which was a big WTF moment seeing his name.)
Personally the only candidate I have any confidence in backing is IL Senator Darren Bailey from southern Illinois. He with attorney Thomas DeVore have been fighting Prickster on the scamdemic and lockdowns for two years now so of course they're trying to keep him off of the ballot. Please look into him.
Still here and have been ramping up my 5 year escape plan every time some new BS descends upon us. It's becoming increasingly hard to justify staying to fight when it seems that we keep falling back so easily even on simple to resist stuff like the muzzle mandates. It felt like we were getting there when Delta failed to scare people but it's so hit of miss, one day I'll go into a place and see over half of the patrons going bare-faced but a few days later it's again 90% compliance.
Delta did wake up a bunch of pedes. Omicron even more. I've seen so many more posts on socialist-media where people are avoiding boosters and spreading the word, that weren't before. It's hard to have been awake so long and still hold your ground. It gets very lonely at times!!! I've always held, and most often vindicated, that I am right now, where God wants me to be. If you are meant to escape, move, change... it will happen, and you will know it's right.
I guess it's also hard for self-proclaimed intelligent people, to go against the grain, for fear of losing acceptance by their peers. It's easy to become an expert in a field where you have set systems in place, with no critical thinking needed, other than troubleshooting a fault in a system. I was fortunately not in that type of field, ever. Every day was outside the box. I look back on that and am extremely grateful!!
I was one of a small few pure bloods, last night, at a large family party. All 8 of us wondered, on our own, if they were going to ask for vax passes. They did not, nor were any masked, and no one was freaky about coof death, but we are all prepared to respond in our own way. Sad, but funny in a way, too.
Good luck to you!! Reach out if you need to vent.
