First of all, this is not about the "Great Reset," as spoken by this current generation of babylonian pagans. Why do I say this? Because I know, as sure as I know that the sun will set this evening, that the ones who push this "Great Reset" will NOT be taking a vow of poverty for themselves. This vow of poverty is only meant for us, their subjects. They desire nothing more than us giving up all of our money and possessions, so that they may take possession of them. I am not naïve of this.
The vow of poverty that I speak of is that which was taken by Christ and His Apostles. Again, do not misinterpret my intentions here. I am not advising anyone to give it all away. Not at all. In this current world that we live in, that would be suicide. Why? Because there is no one that would care for you (or very few anyway.) Anyone can visit a large city and see what I'm talking about. And what a testimony it is of our current government and it's claim to care for us, when they all live in gated communities (even churches!,) while the lost and homeless wander aimlessly among them.
Now imagine a world in which all believers of Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior, took upon themselves this vow of poverty (take note here that I have omitted all of the schemers and lazy from this scenario because the schemers and the lazy are not believers in Christ. Yes, there would be wolves among us, but we would have to discern of them and remove them.) Would we then not have to rely on and care for each other? Some would have to provide food, some would have to provide fuel for the fires that warm us, some would have to tend to the sick and elderly. Would this not draw us closer to each other, knowing that we labor in love for each other, instead of for filthy lucre?
This is what the world babylonian system has taken away from us. This is what the LORD wanted for us. To love each other as I have loved you. Jesus came to serve us. The pagans have placed a value on what we should be doing for each other, in love for each other. And we chase after their pieces of silver, as though they mean everything, when they really mean NOTHING. Store your treasures up in the bank?
Again, I am not mandating that you do anything or condemning anyone for taking care of themselves or their own, in consideration of the world we live in. I'm just trying to get you to think of what God meant for us and what the world system has taken away from us.
Matthew 6:19-21
King James Version
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Luke 6:31 "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."
Matthew 6:20 "But lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor dust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break in or steal."
Thank you for a post that should open people's eyes so that they will know to help those less fortunate, and to help our fellow man along the way. I also love your morning bible verses that you post. God bless.
God bless you too, Mary. Together let us move that mountain.
This reminds me of something that I heard a while ago.
I haven't verified this.
Trump and Ivanka were walking into one of his hotels and saw a homeless person. Apparently Trump used it as a teaching moment and told Ivanka to never judge someone as that homeless man probably has more money than I do right now. Wow, right? One of the "richest" men says something like that. He said it because he was in debt, he owed more money than he owned at the time as most in business get from time to time, but it kind of parallels with the middle and upper class. I have lived in what would be called poverty most of my life and for that I am thankful, well and not getting into credit real bad. I haven't "needed" anything, though I do still want that super yacht. Our needs are easily met with proper education and implementation of that education. This dopamine hitting advertising has got to go.
Another way to see this is that the homeless guys riches are in Heaven and they are far vast than the Trump wealth. God bless you, my brother.
I never heard this story before.
A friend used to say this 20 years ago, living in San Francisco, when there were many homeless, but not as many as now.
He said (but not directly to the homeless person) hey buddy, you’re broke, but it will take me 10 years to work UP to broke!
How true!
I don't have tons of zeros in my bank account but pretty sure i don't owe anyone anything
