I admit I would like a little EV if I lived in a dense city, but also keeping my gas car just in case. When SHTF, fire > electricity. But the fact that they want to force people in rural or completely undeveloped areas all around the globe to drive EVs too shows that they intend to take cars and automobiles away from the masses and keep them for the elites and the Outer Party that serves them.
Hybrids more versatile than a straight EV because you aren't at the mercy of finding a charging station like the idiot in the vid. Hybrid best of both worlds, most efficient in traffic & city speeds plus pollution kept low. IC engine when you can use it most efficiently on open road. Now, if someone would make a diesel hybrid I might buy one.
I’m with you. If you have solar panels on your roof and have enough excess power to charge a little around town vehicle that’s awesome. I’m waiting for better battery technology before I’ll pull the trigger on one but I’d love to have a Tesla and a truck. It just makes sense for a contingency plan. For me it boils down to getting the hell off the grid and being insulated from potential fuckery from China.
