The market has been crazy the past few days. If you are a follower of GME, it seems like the MOASS is nigh. Sadly, I've felt this way about 17 times in the past, and the hedgies have weaseled their way out every single time. It appears to me that the DTCC is doing some controlled demo of certain hedge funds, like Melvin Capital, and then throwing the funds from the liquidation back into the market to keep things afloat a little while longer. I'm afraid that they'll come up with some completely illegal but hidden solution to negate the MOASS. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Anyways, here's my thought: Does anyone have a line to James O'Keefe at Project Veritas? It'd be amazing to have him run an expose on the whole GME situation. If anyone can shine a bright light on the hedgies' shenanigans, it's PV.
Something completely illegal:
They'll force GME to issue more "authorized" shares that never existed, and the SEC will recognize those shares even when GME disagrees. That's the only play I can see to extricate them. Highly illegal, but I think they'll try anyway.
Ohhhh boy. That'd be a recipe for trouble. There would be a ton of pissed off apes, with long arms and peanut-sized brains.
I was describing it to a friend last year, that they'd try and come up with some sort of forced bankruptcy, followed by an emergency share issuance that would be immediately bought up by institutional investors, possibly under the direction of a bankruptcy court. Obviously I hope it doesn't happen, but the hedgies are obviously dishonest and in bed with dishonest regulators at all levels, so... if you expect those snakes to start walking straight, you'll be disappointed. That's why we have to keep the lights on, focused and bright!
Absolutely. That seems exactly like something that they would try. However, I believe that there is a tie-in between GME and the GAW. Trump, and those he is working with, are the wrench in the works. Not a clue what that portends, but I think white hat involvement is the only way we see any sort of true MOASS
Yeah, times are strange. I look at GME like a big wrench thrown into a machine. Something's gonna happen, something's gonna break, but who knows where or when, or what it will look like afterwards...
