His family is beside themselves because they aren’t allowed to see him and the hospital is not really communicating with them very well if at all. No call backs from any of the staff and the only way she’s getting updates is through the online charts as they update. I sent them the contact info for the front line doctors legal team and told them they need to call local news channels to try and get them to do a story in hopes that the bad press may change their tone. Whether they do it or not, I can’t say. I’ve been reaching out to people I know who work in that industry to see if they can pull strings but I don’t know how that will pan out. Please keep them all in your prayers.

That's awful. We have a close family member that we've been told has days to live, also with cancer. She had covid but has recovered. Both the hospital and nursing home allow family visits in the room in this situation. That's versus no visitation at all at the hospital and visits at the nursing home in a meeting room, not their room, by appointment only for those not dying.
BTW, have your aunt call the hospital ombudsman as see if they can help her. The hospital doctors and nurses were sometimes hard to reach but were very helpful.
