Gave my 88yo obese MIL, 5 days of 400mg of HCQ. When I started her on it she was pretty sick, bad cough, terrible headache, lethargic, chest congestion, fever. She was laying in bed a lot and I knew that would be a death sentence so I made her get up every day for a little while. Gave her nyquil in addition to the HCQ for the cough and needed tylenol for her fever. I also gave her Gatorade to replace electrolytes. After 5 days, she was almost completely well except for the cough. I didn't give her anymore HCQ and after 3 days the cough was completely gone overnight. I was amazed myself that she recovered so quickly at that age. She's never been a healthy eater or exerciser so that makes it even more amazing in my opinion.
