Since this started, the one Neil Young song that is in my head is Rockin in the Free World. Specifically one line which in the context of the lyric isn't about what is going on today (in the song, the mother of the kid is a drug addict), but can be applied to the push to jab the kids. It is a sad line:

There's one more kid that will never go to school Never get to fall in love, never get to be cool.
