FTA: Ideas and principles don’t really matter to the Left; they’re just window-dressing for their sole interest, which is pushing other people around, in a word: coercion.

In the 60s and 70s it was all about free speech, but only as it applied to tearing apart the fabric of American life. Having accomplished that to a great degree, the left now employs the opposite, i.e. censorship, as means of creating a society in it's chosen image.

I'm not sure about Kunstler's predictions, but overall a great read.
