The scriptures are the words of God amd reading what he says is how we come to know him.
Many will say “don’t take it out of context” yet they miss stand alone truths meaning it does not need anything else to go with it to tell you something about himself. Usually you find a colon (:) after it if a semi colon is there (;) then you might need the rest of it to grasp his meaning.
While there are some "standalone" truths in the Bible, understanding context is a critical part of proper exegesis. As a said in my post below, 2 Chronicles 7:14 is frequently misunderstood and misapplied.
Another one is Jeremiah 29:11. In that one, Jeremiah is writing to the Israelites who are in Babylonian exile. In the previous verse he says that “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place."
As Christians, we are expected to rightly divide the Word of Truth, and that includes have a proper understanding of both content and context.
With the place I rightly divided on this post I clearly show God is not speaking to Solomon alone! It is to be applied to all Christians that he’d do for them what he’d do for Solomon as he doesn’t do for one and it do for another… no respect or of persons! Not choosing one above another’
Not to be "that guy," but 2 Chronicles 7:14 is one of the most misinterpreted verses in Scripture. It was directed specifically to the ancient Israelites right after Solomon's temple was built. In fact, God is speaking to Solomon. It does not apply to present-day America or any other country.
That’s sad thinking. Please don’t let your next comment be that Matthew 6:9-12 is only reserved for the 12 disciples that walked with Jesus. I’m for living in the good & righteous examples God gave us & to avoid the bad examples the people lived by.
I have no idea what you're talking about as far as being "reserved for the 12 disciples." I will say that the Lord's Prayer was never intended to be repeated over and over again, as it would lose it's meaning. Rather, it is a "model" prayer that was intended to teach them (and us) how we should structure our own prayers.
The book of Hebrews to me is was written by Jesus! I know most think Paul or Timothy but read your first few verses!

...exactly...
...God bless you for letting your "little light shine"....

Let’s connect the dots! Let’s begin with rightly dividing the Word of God!
Romans 2:11 (KJV) For there is no respect of persons with God.
Hebrews 13:8 (KJV) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Jesus Christ : John 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He may have been taking to Solomon! But what he said to Solomon would apply to all his children!
Amen
...all of the Bible is for our edification....
