People that deny the fundamental equation of weight loss (calories in vs. calories out) are ignorant. You do not have to count calories to lose weight. You will lose more weight in a shorter period of time if you do. Weight loss plans are all based on this equation. Most people just choose to pay someone/company to help them lose weight, when in reality all they're doing is paying for someone to do the math for them. Like paying an accountant to do your taxes. Nothing wrong with either. I am still somewhat ignorant about filing taxes, so until I educate myself, I will keep relying on someone else to help me with this. I am a blast at parties. God bless.
Everyone's personal experience with weight loss is anecdotal. The only way to 'prove' it is to record what you were eating before (based on calories, which are units of measurement) so you have a place to start (baseline). Once you know that (even if the math is flawed, or you don't believe it) then you can decide what to do. What do you think would happen if you ate more than your baseline caloric consumption week over week? What do you think if you at the exact same week over week? What do you think would happen if you ate less week over week? You do not have to overthink it. You don't even have to do math. It is logical. I did not say everyone is ignorant that doesn't live like me. I do not think you are ignorant for not counting calories. I do not currently count calories either, but I do when I want to modify my physique - it is precise, and I get results. I said it is ignorant (lacking education or knowledge) to deny the fundamental principle of weight loss, which is energy balance. This was in response to my first reply about Keto. Ultimately Keto works for weight loss because of energy balance. There is more to the reason it is successful for more people (satiety, less processed and refined foods, more protein, etc.). But the reason people lose weight on Keto, or any diet, is because they consume fewer calories than they did before. Even if you do not actually count the calories, the calories count themselves. This isn't party talk.
