The author is definitely on to something, but it goes a bit deeper. History and meanings are being altered. Definitions are rewritten and changed in meaning and context. Data is being manipulated to change the narrative and the microwave mentality (20 second attention span) derives the warped synopsis and runs with it. If a perceived "High Priest" has pronounced it, it is gospel. So sayeth the God of Science. The root of the meaning of science has been warped by the religion of science. What has happened to the religions of the world has happened to science. They have used an age old playbook to manipulate and warp a religion to affirm control over a populace and used it on the field of science. The original foundations have been manipulated to make it a "sin" to question the annointed "priests", even self proclaimed priests. This is why mantra's like "follow the science" have lost their depth and meaning and have turned into hypnotic ritualistic utterings. The very foundation of science is to question, research and verify all data. This has been obscured so that only the "priests" can read the holy data and interpret their meanings to the masses. To question the "priests" is heresy and the inquisition is in full swing.
