Who's there? Why is there a treaty by 53 countries protecting this area. You can take a tour only in two spots of Antarctica today. In NZ and the other in South America. Is Antarctica that big? John Kerry can go there. Why? Why did Potus say he will purchase Greenland. Does that have to do anything with Antarctica? Just trying to understand. Read the book, Empire beneath the Ice, By Quayle. There are specific quotes and newspaper reprints of Admiral Byrd's mission there just after WW2. Very interesting what happened. US fleet was attacked by what Byrd claimed were saucers that came out of the water. Nazi's began building bases there in early 1940's.
