Like, I feel like everyone has an idea of who he is. Sculpted or jagged and rough. But like.... What did Jesus Want? Is that really what we should be focused on? He is the way, so wanting what he wanted must be at least a facet?

He wanted to do his Father’s will. God wanted us to be reconciled to him, because our sin separated us from him. Isaiah 59 has a synopsis of God working salvation for us! Jesus is that salvation.

A couple follow ups!
Thank you!
How did he go about accomplishing his desire?
May I have a broader definition of Salvation? Anything in the Physical that might stand as representation? What would be the opposite of Salvation?
Jesus lived a sinless life, which kept the law given to the Jewish people. He died as a sacrifice, a perfect lamb without spot or blemish, once for all the sins of the world and a salvation (saving us from the wrath of God) to all who will believe because his righteousness is ours since he did this for us. It is a free gift, but we have to believe he did it and that it is ours. We can't earn it. The physical representation is baptism into his name - combining water and the word of god to wash away our sins. As we go through life we are to rely on this baptism and repent (return to the forgiveness it offers), turning away from sin and remembering what Jesus has done for us.
May I have a definition of Damnation? Any HUMAN activity that might be likened to? I myself am kind of bad at this! Who is Salvation offered to? After that is there any word of human intervention? How is it supposed to go?
Where does the soul reside on earth?
Is it possible to inflict shame on another?
Would that be human inflicted damnation? Would that not have served to lock the child's soul?
It can be fun to be in the group and all but what are we doing sometimes?
Thank you, I am asking for a friend!
Does Jesus offer any specific prayer?
God bless you! Mary911
Many you do not know will have seen what you have done! May you swim in favor!
Love God!!!
Love one another as we love ourselves. Everything else comes from love.
Seek righteousness.
Be as a little child. None are more precious.
Spread the word. God's word
One can get very philosophical, but I don't believe we need to. I think it is very simple. Hard to do, yes. But simple.
This guy gets it!
Isn't the simplest answer is often the correct one? Some kind of razor I think.
He made it possible for us to return to the Father.
We are born into sin, by the woman (mother) and she and the world imposes their will upon us. We must forgive our parents for resenting them for not being perfect, and through forgiveness, the Heavenly Father, in return forgives us, and we become sons and daughters of God.
Anyone with anger will never be a child of God.
Christ demonstrated anger and was indeed THE CHILD OF GOD. Why was he angry?

The Cost of Discipleship 25Large crowds were now traveling with Jesus, and He turned and said to them, 26“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters— yes, even his own life— he cannot be My disciple. 27And whoever does not carry his cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple.…
There’s a short book called What Does God Want that does a great job of answering these questions.
Here are some Bible verses that may help.
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Did the Tree of Knowledge have anything to do with sin? Was the first Sin that we ate of the tree or that we "hid" from God? Is there a lesson in shame? Makes me think of damnation. What causes shame?
Yes, eating of it was forbidden.
The eating occurred first.
Yes, the disobedience led to separation from God because the man and woman felt shame. They knew they disobeyed.
A Bible Dictionary is a great resource to unpack the meaning in the ancient context. Here’s some of what Lexham has.
