Geniuses can be pretty nutty, and crafty and many things parents' dread. My mom had a nervous breakdown from my brother, he was so stupid on actual living though. All three of us kids were smart, but my siso and I had the sense of humor. If you are a fringe scientist, it is safer to be considered a bit crazy, John Hutchison actually gave "crazy scientist" as his occupation while applying for his marriage license.
