Buggy software is cured by updates - hence the critical flaw in this meme and it's confused and contradictory simile.

Buggy software "ought" to be cured by updates, but the updates that I've seen almost always break something else or delete features I was counting on, thus making the software worthless to me.

I can't help it if you can't understand memes.
