It’s really not a stupid question. It really feels like something a desperate government would do to keep the backing of the people

So then by that logic it seems that it stands to reason the government isn't that desperate against Q, which would make sense considering:

The identity of Q isn't confirmed
Q hasn't technically broken any laws by their specific posts
