yeah the tow trucks they send in can pull much more weight than the truck, I mean they are dispatched to pull them out of ditches and ravines all mangled up. if they want the trucks towed, they will be, it will just take other trucks getting in the way of the tow trucks and boxing them in to stop anything.
I agree, if they want them moved, they'll find a way. But some logistical questions arise:
How many of the big rig haulers are there? I feel like even if they started today, they'd have a couple months of solid relocation.
Where would the relocate then to? There's "who knows how many" thousand trucks there.
Who's gonna pay for it?
If all the towing companies are out with covid, is it going to be a 14 day quarantine?
How do they get to a truck when there's thousands of people blocking the way?
Seems like there's a much easier thing for the government to do. Recall all mandates, resign, and be arrested for their crimes. (Most important thing is they be arrested, resignation is not enough for their crimes against the people)
the one scenario I thought of, and would be my course of action if I were to be tasked with the job, is to start at either the front or back of the line or more effectively both ends if there are enough tow trucks since by nature of the pack its tighly formed and anyone in the middle is just stuck there and it takes like 10 seconds for the tow truck to hook up if its not taking care of causing damage, and then just start dragging them out two at a time (assuming only two tow trucks could fit side by side on one side of the highways). that's why I suggested other trucks would then have to block the tow trucks picking off the pack, but as I understand it the truckers and people are walking a fine line with the police, if the police are escorting these tow trucks its going to be a little more escalated to stop the front or back of the line being towed off. it would take time, yes, but if the government isn't going to back off restrictions, its the shortest course of action-however long it will take to tow them all, start parking them off in fields just off the road and have police stationed at each storage site so truckers couldn''t get back in their rigs.
