The combined public and private debt of the US surpassed $80 trillion in 2020. US private debt is over 235% of the gdp, so... Almost $60 trillion now. Add that to the $30 trillion in public debt, the US is about $90 trillion in debt right now based on the same metrics as Canada's $9 trillion.
Poilievre never said Canadians have 3x the debt of Americans. Someone who is either misinformed or doesn't know what they're talking about said that and when I questioned it, and rightly so, others decided to downvote and ridicule it.
