Inspired by Miranda Devine’s article about the matter..

First, while Hunter’s lawyers claim he wasn’t a part of the scheme, Devine reports that the court heard otherwise:

The president’s son never was charged over the fraud and was not alleged to have been involved. But the court heard that his name was used as a selling point, and he was described in promotional brochures as a vice chairman for Burnham Financial Group, the firm at the center of the scam.

Devon Archer complained to Hunter about the Senior Biden not doing enough, as texts on Hunter’s laptop showed:

Why did your dad’s administration appointees arrest me and try and put me in jail?” he wrote on March 6, 2019, in a text message found on Hunter’s abandoned laptop. “Why would they try and ruin my family and destroy my kids and no one from your family’s side step in and at least try to help me? I don’t get it.”

Hunter responded:

Every great family is persecuted … you are part of a great family — not a side show, not deserted by them even in your darkest moments. That’s the way Bidens are different, and you are a Biden. It’s the price of power and the people questioning you truly have none.” (Aside: this is as quid pro quo as it comes if you ask me.)

Archer’s conviction was overturned by US District Judge for the Southern District of NY, Ronnie Abrams. Wikipedia archive on Ronnie..

Ronnie Abrams was appointed by Obama to serve in the SDNY and happens to be married to a guy involved in the Mueller investigation, Greg Andres. Andres is now the legal analyst for Good Morning America.

Abrams appears to be another Alison Nathan. Abrams was assigned the 2016 case regarding Trump and Epstein being charged with raping a girl in the 1990s when the plaintiff was 13 years old. Plaintiff later voluntarily dismissed the case without prejudice.

Furthermore:

In January 2017, Abrams was assigned to preside over a pending case in which Donald Trump was sued by a nonprofit group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, over an alleged violation by Trump of the Foreign and Domestic Emoluments Clauses of the United States Constitution. On July 11, 2017, Judge Abrams recused herself from the case when her husband, Greg Andres, began talks to join Special Counsel Robert Mueller's staff.

Andres and Abrams were married by Loretta Preska, who you’ll recall is the judge leading the unsealing of things between Ghislaine Maxwell and Virginia Giuffre. Link to Giuffre v. Maxwell on courtlistener.

Preska was nominated to the SDNY by HW Bush. Bush Jr. nominated her to be a judge on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, but the Senate never acted on the nomination. Her appointment to the SDNY bench “was part of a "bipartisan package" that also including the confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor,” per her Wikipedia page. Her involvement in cases relating to the federal government and its shenanigans is quite lengthy.

What I find serendipitous is that Archer was the only one Abrams overturned the conviction for a la Pelosi’s brother in the Baltimore rape case.
