I was in a bank in NY today and, while standing in line, the double-masked assistant manager offered me a mask and I said "no thank you." He then said that due to state mandate, I can not be served in this bank and i'd need to go to another branch with a drive-thru. I said the mask mandate expired February 1 last I heard. He says, "No, it's been extended thru March 1st." He told me that I had to leave and I asked him to show me the mandate and I would happily leave.
Fast forward to half an hour later, I'm sitting maskless in a chair across from him at his desk while him and the branch manager scour the internet for the latest update on the mask mandate. They found nothing and VERY reluctantly accepted my deposit. I gave him half of the deposit I intended to make and said "It's been a pleasure doing business with you, I'll see ya tomorrow."
These people are enforcing mask mandates that they can't find any documentation for.
nice work, but I'd change banks all the same to a patriotic one. I have accounts at a large well known bank that I must say never busted my balls when I went in with my "medical condition"...I really do, my body requires breathing of air with a minimum content of 19.5% oxygen, like every human according to OSHA
