I agree, they haven't done enough to demonstrate they're in control. Q specifically said "You and your families are safe."

Then covid happened. Then the lock downs. Then the Trump co-signed vaccines. People's families haven't been safe, many have been destroyed. If military intelligence deemed all this pain necessary for a mass awakening then I'd have to say this shit is like when they knew the japs were gonna strike pearl harbor and let it happen anyway to generate motivation for the war abroad. Except this is 10 times worse.
