Nobody is worthless.
The smallest act can change the world.
A small act can most definitely qualify as rising above and standing in the midst of a storm. I think the quote is really saying that warriors are worthless without courage, IMHO. And small acts can absolutely be courageous. People have been programmed to believe that unless their actions literally move mountains, it's not worth it. Which is absolutely false. God tends to work through humble acts of kindness or love. And those actions can have profound reach. Truly amazing is our God!
What is worthless, is a quote that needs to be reworded.
Courage and faith sometimes fails in the strongest of people and that doesn't make them pieces of shit.

Self improvement is never a competition against your neighbors.
The entire quote is horseshit.
A warrior with superior skills, qualities, and abilities is certainly very valuable, but the average warriors behind him make an arguably more valuable army.
