Aids and hiv are different. I don't think aids is transmitted. Hiv is transmitted which leads to aids. I asked this very question a while back and this is the answer I was given from a fellow Pede.
Yes and you're not going to "acquire" this from being near someone who has it any more than you can acquire alcoholism from sitting next to one at a bar.

Now, you might catch a weird disease from one if they have it - tuberculosis is prevalent with AIDS - but usually our own immune systems keep a pretty tight lid on stuff like that

And the jabs contain HIV.
