Received this from my brother- he's in government:
On the floor of the U.S. Senate is a big anti-2nd Amendment bill masked as the Violence Against Women Act.
They’ll try to pass it on the emotion to “protect women” when it’s all about taking your 2nd Amendment Rights.
It also deals with the NIX Denial Notification Act (FBI background when you buy a firearm). If you’re denied, even my accident, you’re a criminal!
Spreading the word is important but more so is calling your Senator.
Number is below for LA. Sen. Kennedy. It’s much easier to make that call than to have to hire a criminal lawyer later. Don’t believe me? I bet you wouldn’t believe the government currently recognizes biological males as “females” so make the call. Gun Control Masked as Protecting women
Sen. John Kennedy 202-224-4623
PLEASE CALL YOUR SENATORS ASAP
To protect women, we must let them arm themselves.
Agree
Done. Thanks.
Thank-you!
I emailed them, of course. Response time is pretty quick. Blackburn and Hagerty
can you get more information on it?
this is all I can find right now and of course, huffpo is all for it:

funny, since the great physical force equalizer is the firearm.
From Xiden - kind of tells you it's shit if he had anything to do with it: "When I first wrote and championed the original VAWA legislation, it helped break a dam of congressional and cultural resistance that too often saw domestic violence as a ‘family issue,’ with legal and social burdens placed on survivors rather than perpetrators. "
It's a reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. Naturally, the libs have to try to throw in some gun legislation

There are lots of articles online, search :
gun legislation hidden in Violence Against Women Act 2022
Wait till you see the new atf rules that kick in may first
HuffPo says this is the bill for what it is worth.

I don't know where to find the original bill, so I am not certain what the proposed changes are. Did a quick search for "firearms" and 14 came up.
This aged body needs rest (didn't sleep at all last night), so go at it guys. Maybe someone more versed in legalese than I am will know what they are looking for/at.
Not enough info.
