This is the Ambassador Bridge tonight. A ghost highway.
The bridge connects Detroit, Michigan, USA to Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
It is the busiest overland trade corridor in North America. And tonight it is closed. Three hundred million dollars (US) in goods pass over the span every day. That is about 40% of the volume of the Port of Los Angeles, for perspective.
The #truckers have figured out the math.
Forget Ottawa. Never mind DC. The strangle point is here.
No matter how you feel about them Mr. Trudeau, or the righteousness of your position. If were you, I would emerge from my beaver lodge and negotiate before this becomes and international financial calamity.

What is Whittless going to do about a privately owned bridge that is blocked by Canadians in Canada? Yell and scream?
"I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!”
I guess the swamp people we sent to DC should have been working on infrastructure all these years (like alternate routes for vital trade) instead of starting wars, playing the market, being wined and dined by lobbyists, chasing tail and screwing the American People. But hey - they were busy.
