Waiting for elevator, a woman her husband and me! She looks over and says “we want to ride the elevator by ourselves if you don’t mind!” Totally masked up, so I ask “ What liberal state are you from, California?” The door closed as she answered! I wish I’d spit on my hand and stepped in and said “ Let me punch the button for you! I just selected the basement for you!”

I would have just hopped on the elevator and said “yes I do mind,” held the “door open” button, and invited them to leave. It would have been their call.
That was a point she also made… nobody has allowed us to do this and we’ve been waiting and waiting!

missed opportunity. if they really wanted to ride the elevator alone, then they should have waited for the next one, not you.
