Ok, so stupid question. Where does the statute of limitations come into play with all of this? Does it stick as long as it’s been indicted by then?

I really don’t want them to get off due to a technicality. And I certainly don’t want them to run out the clock.

I think treason is a military issue, military tribunals. No statue of limitations I'm guessing.
