He got famous for producing incredible beats for rappers and then leveling up his rhymes to get on the level of dudes that were buying his beats. I honestly think he sold his soul to the devil which is why he got his big breakthrough via Jay-Z. I think that's what explains his meteoric rise and ability to manipulate the fashion industry despite having nothing of real talent in that area specifically.
