Using we instead of you / I is actually a great strategy. It is inclusive (in the actual sense of the word), implies shared responsibility and doesn't offend anyone's pride. :) We should use 'we' more.
Why do you find it condescending? Genuinely curious. I actively use it at work and it has great positive effects when dealing with my peers, especially when it comes to criticism.
Not sure why people would downvote this, but I like to imagine you drew a picture of behavior they've engaged in but never actually thought about. Your shower thoughts hit the "we" gang too hard.
